Do I have to include cables with my delivery?

An RJ45 network cable is always included in the colocation, which is used to connect your computer to our Internet uplink. If you have booked the USB Power Connection option, a USB-C (e.g. for Pi 4) or USB-Micro (e.g. Pi 3) cable is also part of our offer. So in this example, you would just need to send your Pi 3 or Pi 4 with SD card without any add-ons. If your device has a different connector, please include the appropriate power cable in reasonable length (see below) with your shipment, on our side it must have a USB-A connector.

If your rack space is to accommodate other peripherals, then please include in your delivery all the necessary connection elements, e.g. a USB 3.0 cable to connect an SSD to your Odroid. With the various possibilities of our colocation, this is the only way to ensure that your devices interact properly with each other.

In this context, please also consider the cable length, which should not get out of hand. Extremely short (0.25 or 0.5m) cables that theoretically fit well in rack space are rare in practice and comparatively expensive, so we do not require them. However, we are happy when we don’t have to deal with 5m cables, 1m to 1.5m is ideal in this sense. By reducing the amount of cables you help us to keep the overall environment simple and structured. You promote the reliability of your own installation and we pass on the lower staff costs to you as a customer in the form of lower final prices. Thank you very much.
