The choice of the operating system for your devices is of course up to you. For Raspberry Pi, we generally like to recommend the use of Raspberry Pi OS in the Lite version. Our tutorials like Linux Hardening: 5 Basic Rules mostly refer to this distribution.
In the end, you decide which OS you use. We only take care of the integration of your hardware into our infrastructure and never access your software, not even in the course of remote hands. However, it is important that your software is able to cope with the existing network requirements.
